Concrete Contractor in Ocala

A concrete contractor pours new concrete and repairs or replaces old concrete. We pour slabs, garage floors, patios, walkways and pads, and we fix cracked or sunken concrete for homeowners and businesses in Ocala and nearby Central Florida towns.

Concrete Slabs

A concrete slab is a flat, poured base for a building, an addition, a shed, a workshop or an outdoor area. It suits homeowners and businesses who need a solid, level surface that lasts.

How long a slab lasts depends on work you can’t see once it’s poured. That means a compacted base, the right thickness, reinforcement where it’s needed and control joints to keep cracks in planned lines.

Central Florida’s sandy soil drains fast but settles if it isn’t compacted well. Summer heat also makes concrete set quickly, so we plan pours for cooler parts of the day and keep the slab moist while it cures.

Garage Floors

A new garage floor replaces a cracked, sunken or uneven slab, or gives a new garage a solid floor to start with. It suits homeowners who park, work or store heavy things in the garage.

Garage slabs need a good base and enough thickness for vehicle weight, with a slight slope toward the door so water runs out. A smooth, even finish also makes the floor easier to clean. In Florida’s humidity, a new slab needs time to dry out before it’s coated, or moisture coming up through it can lift the coating.

If you want a coating on it later, tell us before we pour. The surface has to be finished and cured in a way that lets a coating bond, so we plan for that from the start. See garage floor coatings for options, process and cure times.

Concrete Patios

A concrete patio adds a durable, low-maintenance outdoor space for a table, a grill or a seating area. It suits homeowners who want to get more use out of the backyard.

Patios are poured with a slight slope away from the house so rain drains off instead of pooling against the foundation. That matters in Florida, where summer storms can drop a lot of water fast.

We can pour a plain broom finish or a smoother one, depending on how you’ll use it. Many homeowners pour now and add a patio or lanai coating later for color, texture and UV protection.

Walkways

A concrete walkway gives you a solid, level path from the driveway to the door, around the side of the house or across the yard. It suits homes and businesses that want steadier footing than gravel or worn grass.

Good walkways are wide enough to use comfortably, sloped so water runs off, and jointed so cracks stay in straight lines. A broom finish adds grip when the concrete is wet, which matters after Florida’s afternoon rain.

If an existing walkway is sound but stained or worn, it may not need replacing at all. Concrete resurfacing can give it a fresh surface for less.

Concrete Pads

A concrete pad is a small, level slab that holds equipment or a structure off the ground. Common uses include AC units, standby generators, pool equipment, sheds, hot tubs and trash can areas.

Pads need to be level, sized for what sits on them and thick enough for the weight. A pad that’s too thin or poured on loose fill can crack or tilt over time.

Standby generators are common in Central Florida because of storm season, and they need a solid, level pad. Tell us what’s going on the pad and we’ll size it to fit.

Concrete Replacement and Repair

Concrete replacement and repair fixes slabs, walkways, patios and garage floors that have cracked, sunk, heaved or become a trip hazard. It suits homeowners and businesses who want safe, even concrete again without redoing everything.

Not every problem needs a full replacement. Small cracks can often be repaired, and worn but sound concrete can be resurfaced.

Concrete that has sunk, broken apart or been lifted by tree roots usually has to come out. In Central Florida, washouts from heavy rain and settling sandy soil are common causes. We’ll fix the base before pouring new concrete so the same problem is less likely to return.

Why Choose Us

  • Concrete and coatings from one company. Plan a garage floor or patio with a coating in mind, and we’ll come back to coat it once it’s cured.
  • Prep comes first. Base prep, forming and curing decide how long concrete lasts, so we don’t rush them.
  • Planned for Florida conditions. Sandy soil, heavy rain and summer heat shape how we prep, pour and cure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before I can use new concrete?
You can usually walk on new concrete after a day or two and drive on it after about a week, depending on the mix and the weather. It keeps gaining strength for about a month. If you plan to coat it, the coating waits until the concrete has cured.
Will my new concrete crack?
Concrete shrinks as it cures and the ground under it moves, so some cracking is normal. The goal is to keep cracks small and in planned lines. Good base prep, reinforcement where it's needed and well-placed control joints do that.
Should I repair or replace my concrete?
Small cracks and worn surfaces can often be repaired or resurfaced. Slabs that have sunk, heaved or broken into pieces usually need to come out and be replaced. We'll look at it and tell you which makes sense.
How much does new concrete cost?
Cost depends on the size and thickness, how much old concrete has to come out, how much ground prep the site needs, reinforcement, the finish and truck access. We'll give you a price after we see the site.
